ABOUT

Get a load of this introduction.

Hello! My name is Ally, and I'm a Melbourne-born audio producer and voice over artist with almost a decade of experience behind me. I’m a tea drinker, a lover of arts & crafts and a productivity nerd with a serious washi tape addiction.

Here’s my backstory.
After leaving high school, I completed a Post-Graduate Diploma of Arts - Commercial Radio at Swinburne University, which led me across the bass straight to Hobart for my first commercial production role with Heart 107.3, Sea FM and Southern Cross Television. It was there I started developing and growing my audio production and voice over skills, and gaining some cool new skills in location recording, post-production audio mixing for TV, and show audio production.

In search of warmer land, I then moved back to Melbourne to work in a boutique production house where I learnt the ropes in talent casting and creative agency management, but it wasn’t long before I was on the move again, landing a job in Albury NSW as a group commercial producer with The River 105.7 and Hit 104.9. After gaining confidence in my role and fine-tuning my production skills in a fast-paced, high turnaround environment, a year and half later I packed up my things and left for the sunny Central Coast of NSW to another commercial production role with 2GO and Hit 101.3. There I learnt to really explore the creative side of audio and commercial production, working with award winning writers and producers, which ultimately led to winning an Australian Commercial Radio Award for Best Station Produced Commercial - Campaign in 2019.
I picked up my headphones one last time and drove the almost 1000km home to Melbourne to sit in the commercial producer chair with Nova Entertainment, producing and voicing for Nova 100 and Smooth FM. You can hear my production and voice throughout the stations, as well as across the Nova and Smooth network nationally.

Melbourne, I’m here to stay.
For the past 2 years I have set out to grow my freelance business in audio and podcast production, consistently working with a few different podcasts as an editor. I’ve grown to love the intimate and personal feeling of podcasts, and the community that they create.
